  • Police in Centreville bust organized retail crime ring

    CENTREVILLE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Three people were arraigned Friday in St. Joseph County after Centreville Police say they busted an organized retail crime ring. Police say a family was hitting big box stores and Dollar General locations hundreds of times since 2013. The trio--a mother, son, and the son's girlfriend--were charged with retail fraud, and stand accused of stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from Dollar General, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and other big box stores.
  • 4 women charged in Glenbrook theft spree

    Four women were charged Wednesday in the theft of thousands of dollars in merchandise from Fort Wayne department stores. On June 5, a loss prevention employee at Carson’s department store at Glenbrook Square noticed the women as they went through the store and put items in their purses, bags and a shopping cart from Macy’s, according to the probable cause affidavit.
